Chinese Chow Mein

The delicious dish Chinese Chow Mein means stir fried noodles.Deliberately it is a famous dish in different Chinese cuisines; such as American, Canadian, Brazilian Japanese,
Caribbean, Australian etc. It is also famous in Bangladesh, India and Pakistan.

Ingredients- 1. chow mein noodles- 500 gm
                     2. chicken (shredded) 2 cp
                     3. carrot- 1 cp (shredded)
                     4. cabbage- 1/2 cp (half boiled and shredded)
                     5.green peas- 1 cp (half boiled)
                     6. Broccoli- 1 cp (sliced)
                     7. celery - 2 tbsp
                     8. soy sauce- 2 tbsp
                     9. chili sauce- 1 tbsp
                   10. black pepper powder-  2tbsp
                   11. butter- 2 tbsp (required)
                   12. oil- 2 tbsp (required). 
                   13. vinegar- 2 tsp
                   14. ginger + garlic paste- 1 tsp
                   15. green chili- 5 to 8 ps (chopped)
                   16. red and green capsicum- 1 cp ( julienne cut)
                   17. salt- required
                   18. onion- 1/2 cp

Method- At first marinade chicken with ginger-garlic paste, soy sauce,black pepper and vinegar. Boil one liter water in a medium size pan and then boil noodles in that with some salt and oil. Stop boiling noodles when you can break noodle with your finger tips .Drain noodles into a strainer and put them under running cold water. Take a pan and heat two tablespoons butter in it. Spread it all over the pan and stir fry the noodles. Toss  and keep it aside.

 Now take a wok on the burner. Give both butter and oil (2 tbsp each) in it. Add onion and stir fry until lightly brown in color in a medium flame. Add marinated chicken in it. Stir fry and wait until tender. Add all the vegetables and mix properly with some salt . Add chili sauce, capsicums and green chili .. Stir fry continuously for sometimes adding noodles. Mix nicely and serve in a hot dish. You can garnish the dish with some green onion or with celery.
