Prawn Ball
Prawn Ball is a light refreshment specially common in southern China and overseas Chinese communities in southeast Asia.It is originated from the cuisine of the Chaoshan region in eastern Guangdong.
Ingredients- 1. shrimp - 1 cp
2. bread slices- 5 ps
3. ginger + garlic paste- 1/2 tsp
4. black salt ( bit lobon)- 1/4 tsp
5. lemon juice- 1 tsp
6. oregano- 1 tsp
7. onion- 1 tbsp (chopped)
8. olive oil- 1 tbsp
9. green chili- 1 tsp (chopped)
10. black pepper- 1/4 tsp (required)
11. cumin powder- 1/2 tsp
12. egg- 2 ps
13. flour- 1/2 cp
14. salt- 1/2 tsp
15. oil- Required
Method- At first remove the crusts from the bread and cut them into small cube pieces. Arrange all purpose flour and beat the eggs in a small cup. Then take a Food processor and blend shrimp with ginger+garlic paste, black salt, onion, green chili, cumin powder properly. Lastly, add salt, oregano, lemon, olive oil and black pepper in the paste. Add some flour if the shrimp mixture is a little watery. Make some balls. Then at first roll the balls on flour, then into beaten eggs. Then coat them in the bread cubes nicely. Lastly, deeply fry them in a fry pan until golden brown in color. Serve hot with sauce.
